Brainstorming session

In my continued dreams of owning a MiniCooper, I have decided that it's time to choose my license plate. I think this is a proactive approach to success that will make my dream happen even faster. I think if others participate... even better! My first thought of NVRL8 is already taken. Rude. My lil' work buddy thought of CUTECPI, which I love and is available. If anyone can top it, I will reward the winner with a prize. I'm an expert at prizes. So... there ya go.

This is going on the wishlist BIGTIME! There's books, an owl, teacup, blonde hair, big hips and glasses. I love it.

This is a weekend of studying, or so I keep telling myself. Hopefully it works out that way and I don't get too distracted by the sunshine and gorgeous weather. We'll see. I keep getting distracted by that cute owl over there...

I feel like quite the grown up these days. I have learned to eat tomatoes this week. Pretty impressive, I know. It all started with having them as a pizza topping. Next I decided to leave them on my BLT sandwich, normally they would be removed as quickly as possible, so the nasty juices wouldn't touch anything else on the plate. Then yesterday I actually sliced one and added it to my sandwich, so I had my veggie intake for the day. I'm pretty overwhelmed by it all. I was trying to think of another veggie to add to the diet, but I'm going to stick with my baby steps. I don't want too much excitement too quickly.

It's finally official.

Everyone at the UofA is finally in agreement on admitting me to graduate school. I will start in January. This works out perfectly with the cousins who will be relocating to the best state ever (Arizona-duh). I hope they're ready for my 'surprise' visits when I have to actually visit the campus. ha ha ha. Ready or not!

Guess what...

I was accepted to grad school. Too bad I can't go now. AAAARRRGH. Maybe I can sweetly talk the admissions lady into adjusting my start date for winter/spring. Cross your fingers!

I may just be paranoid, but...

there are clouds making their way to my side of town. I think this is part of an evil plan from those in Utah trying to ruin my pool party weekend. Just because your state is rainy/yuck, doesn't mean mine should be. I'm thinking positive thoughts and I will win this battle. There will be plenty of sunshine to keep me warm while napping. If not, I'm going to lay by the pool in my coat and gloves and buy a pretty new umbrella.

Sunshine, sunshine

I get to housesit for my lovely friend who has a pool. This means Friday-Tuesday I will be totally lazy lounging by the water. All I have to do is feed the dog! What a deal.

Maybe I'll catch up on some schoolwork. Ha.

The huge disappointment

Friday did not go as well as planned. So rude. Goodwill was packed. We didn't even make it to the parking lot. There was a line in the street, so we decided to turn around and head back to where we came from.

Bingo made up for that letdown, in form of entertainment. We did not win anything. We did receive a lot of dirty looks, always fun. I guess most bingo players are pretty intense and take their gaming seriously. You're supposed to be quiet, so the hard of hearing know what numbers are being called. Our bingo group uses this environment to gossip, joke and laugh a bit too loud at inappropriate behavior. :) Oh well... better luck next time.

The Friday excitement continues.

I nearly forgot about the most exciting news ever. There is a Goodwill opening down the road from where I work and today is the Grand Opening!! Of course we will be making a visit. My supervisor decorates the work space with items purchased at this wonderful store. Our hope is to find some more today.I have never been able to find anything I would like there, but today the bossman is going to show me the skill one needs to be victorious. If we're lucky we'll be the first in line, ready to rush the doors. Ooh, maybe there will be free donuts. I can hardly contain myself.

On a similar note, Wheel of Fortune auditions will be this month. We have some contenders at work and I'm hoping to see them on television in the near future. Oh, so exciting.
